One of the improvements we've been making is enhancing the photo tagging system so that tagging photos, retrieving tagged photos and, viewing all your tags is easier and faster. Tagging your photos is a very powerful tool to organize and retrieve your photos. SNEAKERNESS VIENNA 10.10.2009Our friends over at Sneakerness are making their inaugural stop in Austria this weekend for Sneakerness Vienna on October 10th, 2009. This world-class sneaker event boasts a buy/sell/trade section, art workshops, lacing schools, brand booths and a Nike iD studio. Like their event earlier this year, they will also have Bobbito Garcia, aka Kool Bob Love, at the event. Definitely worth checking out for any members of our European Sneakerplay community!

A note to the SP communityDear Sneakerplay community,It’s been a while since you heard much from us. On behalf of my team, and from me personally, I sincerely apologize for that. Some personal things have been going on for all of us, and unfortunately, we were not able to make Sneakerplay a priority over the last couple months. Sometimes life throws you curveballs, and you have to deal with them as best you can. That said, going forward we’ll try to, at the very least, communicate better so that you’re all in the loop. We also apologize for the turmoil that took place on the forums in our absence. It’s unfortunate that the actions of a few people can adversely affect so many. We’ve done a lot of work in the background to help fix the situation. Fortunately things seem to be running much more smoothly now. Additionally, to help keep Sneakerplay a strictly positive community of tight-knit members, we’ll be adding a couple new moderators in the near future to help Goodman23. They are members that have been in good standing dating back nearly to the start of SP, so we think you’ll all be happy – more details to be announced soon. Lastly, we’d like to announce some improvements we’ve been working on in the background: 1) Increased photo limits and more flexible upload – You can now upload way more photos than before. It should also be easier to do so as we can now process much larger image sizes. - up to 100MB of photo uploads per month (that’s 4X the previous limit!) - up to 2500 x 1900 resolution for each photo - up to 3MB in size for each photo 2) Sneakerplay T-Shirts are 50% off, plus free shipping – We heard you. You want them cheaper. We agree. $15 per shirt (with shipping included) seems like a deal to us - we hope that you agree and that you wear your new SP shirts with pride. So again, we sincerely apologize for the absence and we appreciate your continued support of Sneakerplay. SNEAKERNESS 2009 - Premier European Sneaker Event For our European SP members, or anyone lucky enough to be in Switzerland next week, our friends over at Sneakerness have quite an event lined up for you. Sneakerness is a global event dedicated to the promotion and networking of the sneaker-culture, offering fans a platform to exchange sneakers, interact with fellow sneakerheads, and browse kicks from the most well-known fashion shops of Switzerland. The main event takes place May 9th starting at 1:00pm - get tickets here. Following the main event, Sneakerness is putting on an official afterparty featuring Bobbito Garcia (aka Kool Bob Love) and Clark Kent (aka Brooklyn’s Finest) - New York DJ legends and sneaker lovers themselves. Clark Kent is considered to be the discoverer of rap superstar Jay-Z. If this year's party is anything like their last one (pic below), it's sure to be a killer time!  Events like Sneakerness are proof that the sneaker culture truly is global, and we thank all of our international members for making Sneakerplay a more worldly community! |
