Looking for Sneakerplay's New Home For the past several months, our focus on Sneakerplay has lost its steam. Over time, we’ve realized that we weren’t committing the same amount of energy as we did in the beginning. Our focus has been diverted by other projects that we’re currently working on. We think it’s not fair to you guys to not support Sneakerplay the way it’s meant to be supported. Sneakerplay really needs a new home. We believe in the right hands, Sneakerplay can flourish. It needs someone who can nurture it, build new features, and give it the right attention it needs. We’ve been talking to several potential buyers (MTV, Complex) and we feel that we should keep you guys in the loop. We want to reassure you guys that we plan on keeping everything the same and are making sure that the buyer will have Sneakerplay community's best interest at heart. Building Sneakerplay and helping to grow this vibrant community has been a blast and an exciting two and half years. What started out as an idea from 3 friends with a passion for fashion and the web grew it into what is Sneakerplay today - a global community of forward thinking like-minded individuals. Our community has been featured in the New York Times, USA Times and secured one-of-kind contests and campaigns with the likes of Nike, EA Sports and Adidas. All in all, we would not trade this experience for any amount of sneakers, which is why its a bitter sweet end for us but just the beginning for Sneakerplay. November 30, 2008

Footwear Design ContestWant to be a footwear designer when you grow up? Want to get discovered? Then you better get your best work together and head on over to Nike's Future Soles design competition for a chance to showcase your talent. (The competition is only open to high school students between the ages of 14-19)The submissions will be judged by top Nike designers who will announce the two finalists on May 15th - they will then head to Beaverton for a design face off apprentice-style to present their final work. Speaking of Apprentice, this competition would probably make for good reality-TV, throw in some cameos from Carmelo and Jordan and its a wrap. December 29, 2007
Future Forward!The year that was '07 is quickly coming to a close; making way for a new year and new beginnings. We're not really big on 'year in review' type posts, so let's change the subject to whats to come in the future. The collaborative effort that is Sneakerplay is as strong as ever thanks to our active, vibrant, brilliant community (read You) and we're going to continue to maintain and nurture that positive environment.
