New Activity Feature! You ask and you shall receive! There have been several requests for a feature that would give you a snapshot of what you're friends have been up to while on SP and now its hear in the form of Activity - which you'll notice on your next login. The first thing you need to do to get started is 'edit subscriptions', you can then select a maximum of 25 friends, save the changes and your good to go.  From now on when you are in 'edit' mode in your profile you will see the latest updates from the friends that you are subscribed to. The 'view' mode will show visitors to your profile what you've been doing lately on SP i.e. starting discussions, commenting on profiles, blogs or battles, while the 'Friends' tab will show visitors to your profile updates from friends that you guys have in common. You can easily modify what actions you want to share with your friends by going into your 'preferences' via your 'account' settings.

Photo Box!!Big Photo Box:Small Photo Box: Whats up beautiful people! We’ve been ‘never not working’ these past few weeks on our brand spanking new feature called the Photo Box, that lets you take your gallery with you on your online journeys, in a sneaker box themed widget. You can embed both the big and/or small widgets onto your profiles, personal websites, blogs and other social networks. You’ll also notice that the widgets link back to your profile, so friends and guests can see your SP page! April 26, 2007
Smooth SailingWe're back man like Pacman! Sorry for the delay fam...you know how hectic spring cleaning can get. Good news is SP is coasting. The site has been undergoing some serious performance enhancements these past few days. You'll notice that things are much smoother and quicker now. We've updated the Profiles with a new feature where you can share 'what you're up to'. We thought it would be dope to temporarily hijack the our leaderboard banner to show what the community is up to.April 13, 2007
AF1 PLAYOFF WINNERS It's Friday the 13th and you know what that means! It's time to announce the winners of the AF1 Playoffs. Again, it could have gone either way since there were a lot of hot designs in the top 100. We looked for originality and detail. The finalists are: 1) Parkside Killer - Scenecreamer (wins 2 pairs design) 2) Wool Starter Hat Orangemen - n1kedrawer (will receive 1 pair) 3) Goldfinger - Roxfontaine (will receive 1 pair) 4) Ode to Sneakerplay - cheekz0701 (will receive 1 pair) 5) Nubuck Teal - Davidme00 (will receive 1 pair) In addition to winning 2 pairs of your AF1 design, the 1st place winner's AF1 shoe will also receive a place in Nike's Air Force 1 1Thology. Comprised of almost 1000 AF1s, the site captures 25 years of sneakers. The winning Team Sneakerplay design will be photographed at Nike's World Headquarters and included in this guide to Air Force 1. You didn't make it in the top 5? Don't sweat it, we have good news for you too, you can still take home one of you favorite designs. You should be receiving an email soon with a password to purchase your favorite design from the contest. AF1 Playoffs: Top 100The AF1 Playoffs are just heating up! After spending some serious time going through the locker, ever so meticulously, we're pleased to announce the Top 100. We tried to look at the overall originality of colorways and if we would actually rock them/or could see them being sold in shops.You can view the top heat makers here. Contest Wrap-upThe Sneakerplay x NIKEiD teamLOCKER contest has been a crazy, dope, roller coaster of a ride and we're sad to see it end. We've reached the selection stage and have come across a lot of great colorways and original concepts. Expect to see a 100 banging designs up on Sneakerplay tomorrow. In the meantime, we wanted to remind everyone that members with more than 5 designs will be disqualified. You can delete your extra designs by using the 'My Designs' feature in the 'Show' drop down menu. Don't shoot yourself in the foot with a TKO ;)March 23, 2007
AF1 Contest UpdateThe contest has been going great so far! We've reached the half way mark, there's only two more weeks to go before we crown the winners, with their exclusive AF1s! We'd like to thank everyone who has participated so far. There are over 5000 designs in the locker to date.Now for the updates: A few enhancements were made to the locker. You can now: 1. Sort by your own designs using the 'MY DESIGNS' feature. There is a max of 5 designs per member, be sure to delete any extras. 2. Jump to a specific page through the locker, without having to navigate page to page Here is a summary: HOW WILL A WINNER BE DETERMINED? Members will vote on their favorite designs and voting will cease at 11:59 EDT on April 5. Ratings and number of votes will be taken into consideration, but the final decision will be made by Sneakerplay staff. There will be five finalists (2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place) who will win 1 pair of their design, and one first (1st) place winner who will receive 2 pairs of their design. There is no longer a minimum requirement of 5 votes to qualify. On April 6, Sneakerplay will announce the 100 Top Designs, which will be featured in a special gallery at Sneakerplay. Members will have the opportunity to post comments before Sneakerplay makes the final decision on April 13, 2007. MY DESIGNS Members can now access "My Designs", a new feature in the "Show" dropdown menu. No matter when you added it to the Team Sneakerplay locker, all of your designs will be there. Members can also delete their designs from "My Designs", which means members have complete control over what 5 designs they have in the contest and can ensure that they are within the 5 design limit. Be UniqueWe've been hard at work in the last month on Customizer, a tool that let's you pimp out your profile. Modify everything from the background to the text color on your page. As you modify each section, the changes are shown instantaneously (no page [re]loads). Colorways (color themes), are the combination of properties that make up your profile (e.g., background color/image, text, link, widget colors). Create and share them with friends, browse other Colorways made by the community, and apply them to your profile with one click. Lastly, your profile is HTML friendly, so embed those videos, music, and images to give yourself a unique look. We hope you enjoy these updates and look forward to seeing some dope Colorways.
