Premium + Mag

A jam packed issue two of Premium Plus mag is now available for download. A big thanks to SP's own soleTALKING and the Premium Plus team for the Sneakerplay feature. Show them some love and peep the issue!

NY Times, USA Today, Yahoo News...

We have some big press news to share. We did an interview with Paul Thomasch of Reuters last week for an article on passion-centric online communities. It turned out to be a really interesting piece that highlighted several social networks, Sneakerplay being one. The article was reprinted in so much places that we lost track. The New York Times, USA Today, Washington Post and even the Times of India picked it up. Some other notables include Yahoo News, Cnet, PC Magazine, Information Week and MSNBC.

Case of Too Much Sole - Wallstreet Journal

We we're contacted a little while back by Jamin, a reporter from the Wallstreet Journal for a sneaker culture story he was working on. The article came out this past weekend and is entitled 'The Case of Too Much Sole'. It talks about how the industry is being flooded by 'limited-editions'. I definitely agree with some of the points he made. There's way too much emphasis on (perceived) quantity and not on quality/craftsmanship! It's definitely an insightful read, it just might get those blog-numbed brain cells buzzing.

Yahoo! Picks

It looks like Sneakerplay was featured as today's choice onYahoo! Picks, a daily list that celebrates the best of the web. It's definitely an honor to be picked by one of the big boys on the interweb. Peace to Yahoo!

Sneakerplay + BPM

If you know about Vapors magazine then you probably also peeped their sister publication, BPM which focuses on music, technology, nightlife and style. We got a pretty dope mention in their November issue, which by the is free, the digital version that is. A big thanks goes out to Jared for shouting out the community!

SP Goes Glossy

We've been really busy cranking out some dope new features. So, busy that we forgot to fill you in on how SP has been sneaking into some glossy's of late. We received a nice little mention in the last issue of Fuel, a Canadian magazine. Cool eh?

We were also contacted a month back by a reporter for the Atlantica, a mag from Iceland, talk about going global. Who would of thought sneakers and Iceland? But after doing a bit of research I learned that the weather up there is pretty mild, perfect for kicks. There's an old legend that the people up there had so many fresh sneakers on ice that they had to call the place Iceland.

Sneakerplay + USA Today

We were pleasantly surprised today! I got word that Sneakerplay got an honorable mention in today's USA TODAY. Mo hit up the closest spot and got a copy and yup it was true. The article featured on the Tech page talks about how the next generation of social networking sites are going beyond the generic and focusing on activities/interests that connect us.

Sneakerplay + CtotheJL

We've done a couple interviews so far but mostly with reporters. Our first online/blog interview goes to our boy Chris for the newly revamped CtotheJL.com, and who is definitely doing his thing. Speaking of CtotheJL.com, they got a pretty big shout in the most recent issue of MassAppeal. And yeah, if your looking for invites then C's got the hook up. Hit him up with your worst beater pic to get your all access pass to Sneakerplay--All day!!

Slam'n Invites

The love is spreading. Head on over to SlamXhype if you're looking for invites. They're limited to 10, so make it quick!

Sneakerplay + Highsnobiety = Invites

We've been getting a lot of emails asking for invites lately. We wish we could give it to everyone who asked but unfortunately we can't. As you may know by now, you have to be invited/referred by a member of the community. That being said, our friends over at Highsnobiety are giving out INVITES to a few lucky folks who sign up to their newsletter. Thanks for the shout Dave!
